Year 5 – 13.9.24

Trip to Ashburnham Place

On Thursday, Year 5 enjoyed a memorable trip to Ashburnham Place, where they took part in a variety of exciting workshops and activities.

During the visit, pupils participated in a lively drumming workshop, where they learned about rhythm, collaboration, and the power of music to bring people together. They also took part in a gospel singing session, which was filled with energy and joy, encouraging everyone to sing as one united group.

In addition to the musical activities, the children enjoyed a hands-on experience making fresh apple juice, using apples from the orchard at Ashburnham. They also tried their hand at bread making, learning about the process of creating something from scratch and the importance of patience and working together to achieve a delicious result.

Throughout the trip, the theme of kindness and teamwork was at the forefront of every activity. The children reflected on the importance of supporting one another and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in a group. By the end of the trip, they left with not only new skills but also a deeper understanding of how to work harmoniously with others. Danny Parker
