Author Visit
This Thursday the Year 6-8 were treated to an exciting, informative and interactive talk by award-winning author Christopher Edge who kept everyone on the edge of their seats with code cracking challenges and funny anecdotes about movie genres, how the themes link to writing fiction and a taste of his most recent publication, Black Hole Cinema Club. Some interesting questions by pupils revealed the challenges and pleasures of writing as a profession and the subjects and films he gets his inspiration from to create immersive reading experiences, as well as some insight into the publishing process. The session was thoroughly entertaining and was followed by the chance for a brief chat with the author in a book signing session. All his books are now available to borrow from the school library!
