In Year 3 & 8 Buddy Time this week the buddies shared some time reading together with a twist. With the theme of “Welcome to My World” the Year 8’s took their buddies to some of their classrooms they use, such as the science labs and their form rooms. After the initial excitement they got down to some productive reading together, with one person managing a whole book! Well done everyone! Simon Porter
Our Year 8 Pupil Leaders were lucky to go on a mini field trip to see the progress on the new Wellbeing Centre and to learn about how it all came about. The were lucky enough to be able to look around the new facilities (which is almost finished) and to be given a talk from Mike, the site foreman on how it has gone from planning and architects drawings to an almost finished product. They were fascinated to learn about the different stages, how teamwork is vital as well as communication and some of the setbacks you might get in a big project like this. This will hopefully help our school leaders as they start to plan their own events and activities. Simon Porter
Harriet and Hen, two of our Mini Mentor leaders put on some fantastic games of snakes and ladders at break on Friday. As well as being really good fun, everyone worked on teamwork and being a good sport! What fun and excitement will come next week? Simon Porter
