The Duke booklets for Reception to Year 6 have been ordered; unfortunately, it is unlikely they will be distributed before we break up for half term. Here a few challenges in each year group that your children may want to start on! They will need photographic evidence and can write it in their booklets once they have them.
RECEPTION: learn how to use a mobile phone to phone a relative, how would you phone the emergency services? Or 2- learn to scoot, cycle, skate or skateboard
YEAR 1: play a board game (make sure you follow the rules, it’s all about learning to win and lose) or 2- build a den (inside or out)
YEAR 2: make a sandwich, roll or wrap for lunch or 2- spend 2 hours outdoors doing exercise like a cycle or trail walk.
YEAR 3: learn how to say: hello,, how are you, please, thank you, my name is, I’m lost help me and count 1-10 in another language or 2- create something out of papier mache
YEAR 4:first aid: recovery position, how to apply a sling, how to help a choking casualty or 2- learn to sew a button or a full creation
YEAR 5: demonstrate how to fix a puncture on your bike or 2- make a PowerPoint presentation to share your knowledge of something of interest (pay attention to layout, headings, fonts, structure, pictures and photos with captions)
YEAR 6: do something that makes you happy or 2- Cook a hot meal for your family’s dinner (3 courses)
Year 7&8: pupils will be given their log ins on Friday and will be added to a team
