Year 5

Torres, Zenon and Leo from 5TM have been creating innovative games for pupils and staff to play.  All the games have a turtle theme inspired by  ‘Blueberry the turtle’! The games they have created are Blueberry Pond, Shell Golf, Turtle Jump and Shell Smash.  Sometimes we forget that play is an important part of growing up and something to be encouraged and celebrated.  With just pens and paper and a small plastic turtle (Blueberry!) the boys have had fun creating these inventive games together and sharing them with staff and friends. Blueberry even has a hotel in a locker! Well done boys and thank you for sharing your games. Katie Seecharan

This week the children have been writing in role as character from our book. They were writing as the explorer, a well-spoken man, who is very agitated when four children turn up and ruin his piece of paradise in the Amazon Rainforest. I think you will agree that they have done a fantastic job getting into character. Miss Brooks

You will not believe what happened this morning four little children shattered my peace they came strolling on my premises like the mayor.
Yes now goodness knows how long these children will stay. When I taught them to hunt they said where to find food and what to kill and a little girl said the small boy named Max could not use a knife!
That little brat cries and it sounds like hell. All of them right there on my territory. This one annoying little boy called Fred is like a minigun firing questions at me. And then asking for even more they asked if I could take them to Manuas. I am thinking havent I dont enough to help them?
It’s getting me started should I just shoo them of back to the jungle were they wont last another night or should I …     Arthur

My peace, to my surprise, was completely interrupted by four little idiots! One of the clueless little brats screamed and wailed like a cacophony, and another expected me to cook for them! After I gave them some water; a little boy, who goes by the name of Fred, asked if I was an explorer! And after when I gave them some flints for hunting, one of the females, said I shouldn’t give knifes to the wailing one! And just because he is five, they think thats an excuse for wailing and acting like a total idiot!?! how dare they! The only reason I put up with them is because the vulture is liking the wailing one. He probably thinks he smells like meat.   Olivia

This morning some ignorant little brats invaded and one little one called Max came in like a howler monkey in my ear. All of them thought that I am a servant and they liviawere the king and queens and they were all making reasons why Max was crying they kept on saying that he was 5. They couldn’t even gut food or cook. I gave them a flint but they said that Max is too young that doesn’t matter.  Fraser

You will not believe what I stumbled upon this morning. Four irritant small gremlins came to my camp and started asking me ridiculous requests. One of the little horrors started to wail like a dying screech owl. Annoyingly, after i gave them some water they asked for food so I gave them so flint to hunt. Then ungratefully they said I should be the one to cook for them! For some unfathomable reason one asked if I could help them get to Manaus, do they think I’m their slave! Fiyi
