Year 7 27.9.24

Enrichment

During Enrichment today, the Year 7s worked in groups and designed presentations. Pupils had to think about the eight most important subjects that should be taught at Holmewood House. Pupils were then asked to design their ideal timetable with the subjects.  Bronwen Jervois

In Enrichment, some of Year 7 were testing their Engineering skills by planning and building the tallest structure that could withstand an Earthquake (shake of the table). Things got a little more sticky when the marshmallows and spaghetti came out, but all managed a good, stand alone structure. Alison Tripp

Pre-Prep Art Club

This week saw the launch of a Pre-Prep Art Club, by two discerning Year 7 pupils, Megan and Iris. This was completely planned by them, and they have constructed a six-week fun filled weekly club for the Year 2’s. This week was invisible writing, where the pupils wrote on paper with white crayon and then used water colours to paint over and to reveal the secret! As you can see from the pictures a great time was had by all! We are so grateful to the girls for giving up their time and buying into the amazing community spirit in the school. Simon Porter
