Holmewood House School welcomes children at any stage of their Prep School journey, subject to the availability of places, a report from their current school, and a Taster Day assessment.
Our ethos is progressive and innovative, placing pupil voice at the forefront of a balanced and holistic education. We prioritise positivity, encouragement, and inclusivity over elitism. We celebrate every child’s achievement, whether earning a 13+ scholarship or completing the Junior Duke Award. This culture is championed from the top down and permeates every aspect of our school.
The Head operates an open-door policy, welcoming children of all ages into her office at any time. Pupil voice is integral to daily life, with children assuming leadership roles at every stage. These roles include Prep School librarians, activity leaders, Green Council representatives, and speakers in Mini Model United Nations.
Pupils conceive, develop and lead initiatives – ranging from cultural assemblies to introducing new species of newts to the pond! Year 8 embark on self-led enrichment projects, showcasing their creativity and independence by presenting their final projects in a format of their choosing. Every pupil is empowered to shape their own educational journey and make a meaningful impact on our school community.
We would love to hear from you. Please get in touch with our admissions team at 01892 860006 to discuss your child’s prep school journey and how Holmewood House School can provide a solid foundation for their educational development.
