Updates to School Uniform
After a thorough review involving consultation with staff and parents, we are making some updates to our school uniform and introducing new purchasing arrangements. These changes aim to enhance the quality of our uniform while maintaining affordability and ensuring convenience for parents.
From the start of the autumn term in 2025, all uniform purchases will be managed by School blazer Ltd, the leading online provider of uniform to over 230 Independent Schools in the UK.
The current uniform will remain available from Monkhouse until the end of this academic year online or in Tunbridge Wells:
64 Calverley Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2UG
It can also continue to be purchased from the second-hand uniform shop. The new uniform will be mandatory from September 2026, providing time for transition.
Benefits
There are many benefits to the new service:
• Uniforms can be ordered online at any time through a dedicated website tailored to our school. Learn more about how to shop here.
• All items arrive with permanent, printed name tags sewn in at no additional cost (although a small charge applies for the tags themselves).
• An “Intelligent Sizing” system is available to help you select the perfect size for your child by inputting a few basic measurements. The system also shows how the next size up will fit.
• Delivery will be fast and reliable: uniform is delivered via DPD, with a normal turn-around of 1-2 days for name-tagged garments, but a firm promise of all deliveries within 3 working days, all year round. Urgent items which do not require name-tagging can be shipped in 24 hours on a Fastrack service. DPD send a text message to confirm a delivery window, and delivery can be rearranged if not convenient.
• Easy Returns: Free 365-day returns service, with replacement items dispatched immediately and arriving name-tagged.
We are confident these changes will provide a better experience for families and ensure a high standard of uniform for all pupils at a similar price to the current uniform.
